Position Objective
- We are seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to assist in leading and managing our rental store. This role involves directing store employees and overseeing store activities to ensure efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in hiring, training, and managing all staff
- Support the sales team, set annual goals with the Branch Manager, and work towards achieving them
- Lead the team to improve the workplace, company performance, and customer satisfaction
- Assist in managing fleet operations, shop activities, trucking, and administrative tasks
- Help with purchasing small rental fleet and showroom items
- Oversee customer billing and account levels
- Organize and maintain the yard
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure branch profitability
- Ensure equipment availability and timely delivery
- Track pickups to ensure timely returns
- Manage COD accounts and CAT Access customers
- Run daily and weekly reports (open tub, slow rent, yard inventory)
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management
- Assist in managing branch safety programs, ensuring policies and procedures are enforced, including:
- Adhering to all safety rules and policies
- Maintaining a clean and clutter-free shop and equipment staging area
- Complying with hazardous material procedures
- Ensuring inspections of overhead cranes, floor jacks, compressors, welding carts, fire extinguishers, etc.
- Enforcing personal protective equipment rules and regulations
- Conducting weekly safety meetings and documenting them
- Ensuring timely completion of ANSI and DOT inspections
Requirements
- College education or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Familiarity with heavy and light-duty equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent people and management skills
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Rental Services or similar management roles with a proven track record
